AUTOMATIC
BCC
|
|
Use
auto-bcc to keep someone up-to-date on important e-mail
and newsgroup messages, or blind-copy yourself at an
alternate address and never lose track of your day’s
business correspondence. Here’s how we do it.
-
From
the Netscape Messenger Edit menu, choose Preferences.
-
From
the Mail & Newsgroup Preferences category, select
Copies and Folders. The dialog box will change to
reflect your choice.
-
In
the section called When sending a mail message,
to bcc yourself on all messages you send, click
the first BCC checkbox (your Messenger e-mail address
is already entered for you).
-
To
bcc another e-mail address (yours or someone else’s)
on all the messages you send, click the BCC Other
checkbox, and then type the full e-mail address
in the text box.

CREATE
A MESSAGE TEMPLATE
|
|
If
you regularly send messages such as memos or weekly
status reports, you can save time and avoid formatting
hassles by creating templates.
Using
message templates in Netscape Messenger can give your
messages a professional look by presenting a consistent
appearance. You can also pick up a few design ideas
from the templates that are sent to you-save them as
a template and edit it, or you could reuse it too, if
you are sure you won’t get into any copyright hassles!
Here
is you can create a template:
-
Select
the message you want to save as a template, or create
a new message and apply the formatting you want
to use in template.
-
From
the File menu, select Save As, then Template. The
message template will be stored in the Messenger
Templates folder.
To edit the template, double-click it, make the
changes you want, and select File>Save from the
Send Mail menu bar. To use the template, double-click
it again, fill in the address and compose your message
as usual.
