Terracotta

The word "TERRA" is derived from LATIN language which means mud. This art dates back to thousands of years, since human generation. This runis found in the vally of 'RIVER SINDHU' also are testimoney to the art of Terracotta. In ancient times Terracotta was not only an art but this art was waven into the lifestyle of the people.

Artifacts prepared by pulversing the mud and soaked in water for 2 to 3 days. These from which mud balls are made which ultimately goes for making of articles.

Articles like pots, platters and sculptures, murals of different design and different texture. These articles or articfacts are fired at high temperature even "TILES" are made from "TERRACOTTA".
